ACCOUNTANT II
Under general direction, the Accountant II performs professional accounting duties and analysis of financial data in support of various accounting functions that may include Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, Property Accounting, and/or General Accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and review general ledger activity monthly and prepare monthly account analysis
Serve as point person to management team for day-to-day inquiries and reporting needs
Prepare and review accounting and fixed asset transactions
Reconcile all sub-ledgers to general ledger control accounts
Reconcile intercompany transactions between parent and subsidiaries
Assist in preparing financial statements for controller review and approval
Prepare monthly and quarterly supporting documents
Ensure accounting transactions are in compliance with GAAP, develop financial reports/schedules for consolidations and reporting
Communicate and handle G/L, Fixed Asset and AP inquiries from subsidiaries
Research and resolve accounting issues
Delegate tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project and coordinate the work to be completed but is not responsible for formal supervision of employees
Other special projects and duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
18 years of age or older
Eligible to work in the United States
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
CPA designation a plus or eligibility and expectation to sit for the CPA exam
4-6 years of documented progressive accounting experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office software
Netsuite and Sage X3 accounting software experience a plus
Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills
Well-developed planning and organizational skills which include the ability to work independently, prioritize activities, meet commitments, and proactively manage time and a heavy workload.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:
Prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment as applicable
Ability to lift 25 pounds or more
Position is generally sedentary, sitting for long periods of time

Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
