Job Description

Our Lavatory Agent is responsible for the servicing and maintenance of aircraft lavatories. This role involves emptying waste tanks, sanitizing and cleaning lavatories, and refilling necessities like hand soap and toilet paper. You must follow strict safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a clean and safe environment for passengers and crew. Also, you must operate specialized vehicles and equipment, maintain service logs, and report maintenance issues to their supervisor.

WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A LAVATORY AGENT

· You like working as a team, toward a common goal

· Operate equipment for servicing aircraft lavatories, including pump trucks and hoses

· Perform cleaning and sanitation of aircraft lavatory systems in compliance with company and safety standards

· Empty, clean, and refill lavatory tanks and replenish supplies as needed

· Inspect lavatory equipment for leaks, damage, and proper operation

· Adhere to all environmental regulations regarding the handling and disposal of lavatory waste

· Maintain accurate records of services performed on each aircraft

· Coordinate with ground crew and flight staff to ensure timely and efficient service

· You have a great attention to detail

· You enjoy working with a team or individually to accomplish your tasks

· Like to build long term relationships with your customers

· Physical activity may include:

· Stand and walk for extended periods of time

· Ability to lift 70 pounds or more

· Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment

· Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

Qualifications

· Minimum age of 18 years old

· Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents

· Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and operating equipment

· Adherence to safety and hygiene standards

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Good communication skills

· Willingness to work in various weather conditions and shift patterns

· Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets

· Ability to pass a drug screen

· Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
